Lately, I’ve been wishing I did more blogging. . .captured more of our daily lives this year. But, alas, while I regret not blogging more, I can’t go back in time and do it over. I’m not sure what keeps me from writing a little something each day. And then, the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t know where to start catching up.
This morning, it’s quite here at work. I’m working on one of those projects you need to step away from on a regular basis for just a short minute or two. I’ve spent the time watching for updates on some of my favorite blogs. I realized that I’m a blogging hypocrite. I expect others to entertain me with content on a regular basis, yet, I haven’t been true to my own blog.
It’s time to stop that cycle. Today’s the day.
So, I guess since Thanksgiving is tomorrow, perhaps a list of blessings would be appropriate?
I’ll shoot for 20. . . here goes.
- Health- I feel so much better this year than last year
- DH- Can never thank God enough for that goob!
- A roof over my head- wow, we’ve had some powerful storms, the tree in our front yard is still standing, and we’ve had enough rain to keep away the forest fires.
- Eddie Bauer Shirts and Hoodies- I found them at the outlet and I love the soft T-shirts and the matching hoodies. Not sure what everyone things of me wearing them all the time. But they make me feel good.
- A Big Truck- To this day, I love driving that thing- being able to see, feeling safe, and not feeling punee beside the eighteen wheelers
- A completed Home Study- so glad we’ve got that behind our belts.
- Family- I’ve really enjoyed having family gatherings. My cousin from Florida came down twice.
- Mudd Shoes- They are just so fun, cute, and comfy
- Work- Thankgoodness I have a job, I need the money. And, if I have to work, at least I can enjoy it.
- A snuggly bed- love getting in between the down comforter and feather bed (ok. . . not actual down- hypoallergenic for DH’s sake)
- My porch friends- love ya’ll
- New Computers- What a luxury. So fast, so small, so light. Looking forward to scrapping on mine- and not worrying about DH needing it.
- Great Music, Great Concerts- Love the Texas/ Americana Music scene that inspires me so. It’s so great to be able to see some great concerts as well this year. Aaron Watson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Chris Knight, Darryl Lee Rush, and more
- My Best Friend- Who seems to be happier with life these days
- Creative Inspiration- from where ever it comes from
- Our New Paint and Desk Area- what a lot of work. But it so worth it. Especially everytime I walk into the kitchen and see the variations on the color we painted.
- A five day weekend- looking forward to hopefully getting some rest.
- Losing Weight- I’m thankful I was able to do it and for the way that makes me feel
- Chocolate- Ok, probably not the best thing to list after losing weight. . . . but when all else fails. . . there’s not many WW points in a glass of chocolate milk
- To Do Lists- Strange but true, I’ve been using the Franklin Covey Weekly Planning and feel more organized and like I actually get things accomplished.
God Is Good!
