On the Road Again

I can really wait to get on the road again. . . .

From home to Houston to Davis to Oklahoma City to Wichita to Kansas City to Will Roger’s Turnpike to Claremore to Davis to Corsicana to Houston to Home. . . home. . . home. . . home. . . to Port Arthur to home (12 hours) to Corpus Christi to home.

HOME!  So glad to be home with no trips planned for a while.  We got back from vacation two and a half weeks ago.  Returned to work two weeks ago and learned that I’d be going out of town the next.  So this week I went to Port Arthur but came back only in time to sleep in my own bed and go to back out on the road to Corpus Christi to see my mother-in-law.

I’m finally getting trip pictures uploaded here so I can share.

This picture happens to be one I took in Corpus Christi.  My mother-in-law lives about 10 miles from the coast and I really didn’t expect to see the water this trip since we were going down there post neck surgery for her.  But, Cody and I went on a wild goose chase and then made the most of it.  Not only did I get to see the water, I got to walk in the sand and get salt water on me.  We stopped at the seawall and then walked ot on one of the jetty/ surge breaks.  It was something we’d never done.  And despite there being quite a few people down there it was quite enjoyable.  (and hot! and sticky! )

And I did not jump on the seawall and sing Corpus Christi Bay!  But, I joked with Cody about doing it.  I was afraid he’d leave me there though.
