Glad He Was Awake Too!

I woke up this morning sometime around 3:00.  I knew Cody would be getting up in an hour or so since he had to be at work early.  I wanted to catch some more sleep- so I got up to go to the bathroom and settled back into bed.  I guess I woke Cody up when I got up and he wrapped his arm around me. Then, it happened.  Another something I never thought I would experience in East Texas.  First, it sounded like Cody had hit hsi dresser.  But I...

The December Daily that Wasn’t

The December Daily that Wasn’t

You may have read this post  with my first December Daily page for 2011 and then wondered where the rest of December went.  When December was over, I was definetely wondering where the rest of December went myself.  Crazy month and I knew when I decided to do December Daily that I might have been a bit crazy myself.  And, it wound up being something I had to let go in order to try to keep some of my sanity last December. But, I still took...

It was just “So Me”!

It was just “So Me”!

Several weeks ago, I had an ill-fated meeting with a cinnamon roll recipe. It was one of those mornings where nothing went as planned. And it started with the Food Processor. I’d gotten rid of my large, huge, gigantic food processor that I’d been given whenever we moved. I knew that would only leave me with the mini. But, I knew at some point I’d be replacing the one I’d been given with a bigger one that had features I...

Welcome 2012 with One Little Word: Shine

Welcome 2012 with One Little Word: Shine

Happy New Year everyone!  I’ve been busy catch up on several Big Picture classes that started today (One Little Word, Move More/Eat Well, and Twelve- yikes it’s a lot for one day!)  Cody is, of course, at the deer lease- last day of deer season.  I used to say it’s the last day of hunting season- yes, I was naive.  NOW, oh no, hunting season is year round.  But it does mean it’s time to start thinking about the next...

About Me

Welcome! Hi all! I live in rural East Texas with my husband. I'm passionate about telling our everyday and rather ordinary story through words and pictures here on my blog and on my digitally scrapbooked pages. Geek. Creative. Problem Solver. Traditional. Introverted. Those are all words that you might use to describe me. I love to have fun while stilling keeping it calm and simple.

My thoughts

I woudl say that my scrapbooking process is super "inspired". Not in the sense that it's great, but that I'm inspired to tell a story and to get a page done. I like to pick the story I want to tell and my photos and then get my page done right then and there- when it strikes me. I like to finish while the iron (the thought) is hot becuase that's when the thoughts are right there for the taking.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
