Me & Him

Going with the Creative Flow

Here lately, I’ve been feeling very creative.  I’ve also been getting some diverse projects I’ve been wanting to do out of my head and off my to do lists.  Somedays, the creativity just flows.  These are times that you just have to ride the wave.  Last Friday night, I think I was on creative overload.  I normally am an early to bed kind of girl.  My head was swirling with ideas about a project I couldn’t wait to...

The View From Where I Sit

The View From Where I Sit

Since getting high speed internet, Cody and I have spent many a night with the both of us tuned into our computers with a half of an eye on the Royals ballgame.   Tonight is no different.  I’ve spent a lot of time learning more about photography or checking out music.  Tonight, it was photography as I started a new class online.  And, while I actually was just playing with a few buttons on my camera, I also got  this shot of my...

My Old Man

My Old Man

This weekend, I spent some time going through all of our adoption paperwork and files.  I found this when I was going through the stuff from our PRIDE courses.  We were to draw a stick figure of ourselves and then I forget exactly what we were to write on post-its and place on the paper. . . I think it was our support system or something. My husband, of course, went a little further with his drawing as the class progressed.  It’s him...

Delayed Spontaneity

Delayed Spontaneity

“I thought I saw that the Royals game started at 2:00″ That was the thought that came to mind Sunday while I sat in church staring at the stained glass windows and the beautiful light shining through.  It was going to be a wonderful spring day, I could tell.  It was far from the rains and storms we’d seen Friday and Saturday.  And I began to realize that I’d seen something that said the Royals game was at 2:00 and not...

My Husband, the Crazy Nut- Weekend Review 3 of 3

Now, if you’ve read the last two posts, you know I’ve warned you about these pictures.  If you haven’t read those posts, put down the coffee or anything else you might eat or drink before looking any further. Easter Sunday was like many other’s Easter.  We went to church bright and early.  Cody had to help his fellow Elders cook breakfast and Jack got involved flipping pancakes.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt and...

My Husband, the Nut- Weekend Review 2 of 3

Saturday. . . Well, I don’t have but one picture of the Cody’s hijinx from Saturday and it was only the beginning.  But I do have other pictures from the weekend to share as well.  (Stayed Tuned tomorrow for some hillarious pictures that Cody’s likely to love seeing online. . .not!  That’s the price he pays for being a nut.) Saturday was a busy day for us.  Cody and Jack headed out to the deer lease around 5:00 in the...

About Me

Welcome! Hi all! I live in rural East Texas with my husband. I'm passionate about telling our everyday and rather ordinary story through words and pictures here on my blog and on my digitally scrapbooked pages. Geek. Creative. Problem Solver. Traditional. Introverted. Those are all words that you might use to describe me. I love to have fun while stilling keeping it calm and simple.

My thoughts

I want my pages to hit it out of the park for me in some way or another- but in terms of what they say- not the stuff on them, not the pictures- but what they say about me and my life.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
