Life’s Bits and Pieces

Blogging Hypocrite

Lately, I’ve been wishing I did more blogging. . .captured more of our daily lives this year. But, alas, while I regret not blogging more, I can’t go back in time and do it over. I’m not sure what keeps me from writing a little something each day. And then, the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t know where to start catching up. This morning, it’s quite here at work. I’m working on one of those projects...

Vacation

Next week, DH and I are going on vacation. It’s been too long- especially since we’ve gone a vacation that didn’t include visiting family. I’m so excited I just can barely contain myself to get anything done. We’re going to Oklahoma- which isn’t what most people think of as a vacation spot- but it’s a beautiful state. We actually had a hard time deciding where in Oklahoma to go. But, we settled in on...

Me and Music

Many of you may already know this, but I doubt your truly aware of just how strange my music taste really are. And you’d probably won’t understand either. I have my little niche of music that really makes my heart sing. It’s kinda like an celebration of creativity and independance, fun, or great writing, or who knows what. (Probably also the influence of illegal drugs that many of the artists may be doing) Simply put, you could...

Are You Ready For That Airstream?

DH and I went on the church campout this weekend. We really do enjoy camping though we’ve always argued about our “definition” of camping. You see we grew up camping- but in two different camping worlds. For me, it was always camping in a 5 man dome tent. For him, it was a pop-up and then a full travel trailer. Each of us joke that the other is not really camping. But, alas we can’t afford a pop-up much less a travel...

About Me

Welcome! Hi all! I live in rural East Texas with my husband. I'm passionate about telling our everyday and rather ordinary story through words and pictures here on my blog and on my digitally scrapbooked pages. Geek. Creative. Problem Solver. Traditional. Introverted. Those are all words that you might use to describe me. I love to have fun while stilling keeping it calm and simple.

My thoughts

It's ok to write like you talk. Whether blogging or scrapbooking your story- you're writing for you. You're writing to preserve your story. Honestly, I think it means more if we write like we talk than if we follow any rules. It's a better slice of who you are.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
