The Life

Prayer Life

I used to think that I was ok with my prayer habits. My prayers included the usual thanks and asking for forgiveness. But, when it came to praying for the things I wanted, I had a much different approach. I’ve always had a hard time deciphering how to ask. I know that what ever God’s will is he will do it. So why then I be choosy and ask for the things I wanted. You may so, because he said ask and you shall receive. But we know that...

About Me

Welcome! Hi all! I live in rural East Texas with my husband. I'm passionate about telling our everyday and rather ordinary story through words and pictures here on my blog and on my digitally scrapbooked pages. Geek. Creative. Problem Solver. Traditional. Introverted. Those are all words that you might use to describe me. I love to have fun while stilling keeping it calm and simple.

My thoughts

In many ways, I'm a minimalist when it comes to my pages. I totally prefer for the focus to be on the story. By not filling my pages with stuff or too many techniques, I have more time to tell other stories rather than fussing with a bunch of extra stuff! If it doesn't "hold things down" (i.e. tack, staples, stitching), help move the eye across the page (ribbons/stitching), or allow me to add more of the story (tags, journal blogs, tabs, date elements, etc), I really don't use it.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
